hey guys...
been carried away with poly modelling..
then noticed mesh has gaps in it..
aligned normals all facing right way...but still got gaps in mesh...how do i get rid of them then?

thanks.

Try doing Structure - Optimize; it looks like you may have duplicate points there.

nope no extra points had a good look anyway.
ran optimize earlier and just now but made absolutely no difference at all?
i agree with you though looks like its attached at different points than in the image...i'm totally baffled by it though.

try deleting the polys and check the points - if they seem ok then bridge them together again!

also thought maybe there was a poly in the middle..but if i cut/remove one side of cage...just a gap and no poly in the middle!
confused!

ok...guys...i got it...:bounce:
one little point causing me the problem.
deleted point...then remade polys and voila!!!!

it was making a poly underneath all the way across the mesh hence the gap...and hence why optimize didn't work cos the mesh was fine...just my poly stretched all over the place...:surprised
thanks so much... :banghead:
