Again I have to say that it's not at your usual level.
Yes, take it as a compliment.
I don't know..
The modelling looks solid as usual so I guess it's the composition that's
lacking something. Some action.. some intrigue.. something..
Maybe it's a bit too cliche for my taste.
Sorry, mate, but I know you have a lot more in you so I have to
crit it down a bit.

I agree with azynkron, composition needs work, u need some explosions, fire, gunfire, smoke etc...
the shot is just a bit boring when u have two planes doing nothing
otherwise its a great shot, awesome modeling texturing and lighting

thanks for your opinions guys!
When you say that the composition needs more work do you mean that the acutal composition isn't good or that you would like to see more action / effects?
I personally try to avoid effects because they sometimes are used to hide faults and exaggerated effects do more damage than good. Make sure you not only look at the downsized version of this image - there's actually quite a lot of details.

I agree totally. That's not what atleast I meant.
Perhaps a perspective close from the front of the ME showing the Spit closing in from the behind.. You can see the german pilot turning his head to try to find the spit..
I don't know if I'm to fuzzy here.. but.. hehe
Your models are solid enough to allow a close up..

I tend to disagree with the need for effects. To close the circle in pilot terms means that two aircraft are trying to close on each other to get a shot in. when facing in oposite directions they will not be shooting at each other. However, I feel that a chang in the background would be good. Maybe show some ground and not so much overcast. It would add more depth to the sceen and allow for a sense of movement IMHOP. Other than that I feel that the modeling is solid as usual.

If you would like to take a closer look at the model itself then you can download this animation - it is a 360 degree spin animation (right click and save to download):
