i think i am missing something here. the two beers that come to mind when i think of Denmark are Carlsberg and Tuborg. these are definitely good i don't think i would classify them as "the best beer in the world" but perhaps there are other brands?

Isn't the 'homeland' of beer Egypt? It was either China or Egypt that started producing beer. Then Germany and England perfected it into the tasty beverage that it is today.

And Canada arguably make the best beer in the world- especially at the micro-brewery level:p

If you come to Denmark, you should try the Carlsberg Master Brew. The best of them all. 10% alc. sweet and smooth...

There is also an Carlsberg beer election on at the moment. You can vote for 4 candidates. My favorite is the Capo.
