Title: Saleen S7
Name: Siddique Humayun
Country: Pakistan
Software: Maya, mental ray

I rendered it with Mental Ray. This was designed quite a while ago, while having a look at one of the digital-tutors tutorial. It was made with NURBs later converted to Polys and finally finished off with SubDs. Took me around 3-4 days on and off, this is my first proper car model. And being a self-taught (If you consider it being taught, haha) hobbyist graphic designer, I myself am pretty much satisfied with the final result. It's straight out of the Maya Render window, I haven't used any PS for further touching. I'd appriciate any kind of feedback. Thanks!

Hey Akeeq

Thats a pretty good model for one of the first tries on modeling a car.
But for the next one, you should pay mooore attention to all the details.
there are plenty inaccuracies you can see when/if you compare your model to refpics of the original. This one there just looks like a copy of the car, but I think that you got the skill to model and finish a car, which looks exactly like the original; you just have to pay attention to every detail

Nice work Akeeq, pretty solid model body. However the wheel alloys seems a little too flat I am not sure about that but you could get your car some super cool wheels also, would make the entire scene good.

Anyways keep us updated.

Thank you everyone! :) And yeah, I'm not satisfied with the rims myself. A bit too flat.

The shading looks really great on the paint. Overall I think there are some scale issues so next time just make sure you're ligning up with the original car.

It looks like the mid-section (door) looks pretty accurate. But the front looks off scale-wise. Headlamps are too big and other things as well.

The rear is hard to tell from this angle but it looks a little squished.

But for a first attempt it's pretty darned good :)
