Vedic Kings : Thanks! I'm half Indian.
cparrish : Hmmm.... yeah, maybe it *wasn't* a good idea to just use the default lighting...
LowEndFrequency : Thanks. I'm not so good with the tail end of production stuff - lighting, rendering, compositing, etc. - just yet. But I'm working on it.

Great modelling, I think with better lighting you can do the model more justice. Try using three point light to give it more depth.
Very nice, i hope the rendreing times are ok to put some reflections in the glasses and eyes, and poss make the glass refract, as the transparancy seems a bit off.

I personaly like the orginaly lighting. I think it needs a little shadow in the middle of the body, but other than that I think it gives a great sense of emotion. good job!

I donīt know why, but every time I see Ghandi i think he will pull out a machinegun or a shotgun and say "Do you feel lucky, punk".
Great modelling but I think you should work more on the lightning and shading. The cloth textures are too clean. The light hits him on both sides of his face. Try some other kind of lightning. 3 point lightning or a cast of shadow over him.
Overall the picture is clean and relaxing. Very peaceful. Great work.
btw wasnīt he poor?
Definitely definitely needs some shadows. The lighting you have at the moment is warm, but lacks contrast. Some shadows will help define the form of your model immensely IMO.

First guy i have seen who made the "Mahatma"
I love the pose..the way his hands are folded..gives u a feeling of serene peace..
I think u need better lighting....
and i dunno if i think i was the only guy who noticed this..his ears are sort of welded to his body...looks wierd..Also he had round glasses... I bet the oval design wasn't invented in 1943
or may be it is just me..
U should have him near the spinning wheel " charkha" in the sabarmati ashram...would look cool..just a thought...
ironically I come from the city of the Ghandhi...
GOod job..keep it up...
