think outside of the box.
abstract enough for ya.
then try deepshade
CINEMA = Can Intimidate Newtek Especialy Maya/Alias wavefront...........damn it didnt take you long to jump on that JIII and tweak it :D
Abstract as in abstract painting I am assuming. If so try really large global scale for most of the noise shaders and mess around with other noise shaders in the distorter shader :)

I think he means abstract in the "matrix extrude stuff till it looks funny" way, so materials with high speculars and loads a reflections..am i right?

Hrm.... I've been hunting for the Marcel Duchamp dada shader for some time now. Do you think you could give it up now Squid? :D
No really.. all kidding aside. Abstract, that leads me to believe that it's art. Art must be made by it's creater no? Also, abstraction can be expressive, so how would you express thyself?
I would say you should explore the settings until you achieve some unexpected results and you will be happy when you do so. For then, you will have truly discovered "abstractionism".

I just had an epiphany.... It would be cool to have some kind of Kai's powertools shader for Cinema for when we get those sudden urges to artistally explore.
But then again, Darf is probabaly all over this and will be showing us all how it's done very soon.

Abstract is a touched up way of saying "Trendwhore". Its a popular Crystalesqe method like so
Clickeh (http://www.metafex.net/imagehost/fantasia2.jpg)
Select a color for the color channel, make it transparent...somewheres around 80% with high specular and lights.
then compose in PS.
Thanks Kotayus, now I see what he means :)
JIII no problem ,ya tweaked it so it yours :),you dont have to credit me for it...
