Looks nice, though maybe a tad grey for my taste (could just be the lighting) looks like its just come out the freezer :)
Only major mistake I can see is there is no sign of the shell ejection port on the right hand side of the upper reciever above the magazine.
you can see where it goes easily on this rather fetching pink custom hello kitty AR-15: http://www.riflegear.com/blogimages/KittyRifle.jpg
and super big image of right side of just upper reciever of an M4 here: http://www.ameetecarms.com/store/images/M4%20Upper.JPG
Minor thing, where the gun is set up for a righthander i.e fire select switch set for left thumb. but the the fire select switch hole on the right hand side doesn't have its cover on looks like a deep dark hole, but this is just being super picky :)
Out of curiosity does the buttstock to telescope on your model?
apart from that looks real good :D

Looks alright from the Pics you´ve posted.
Some suggestions thogh:
-the Handguard and Buttstock are made of plastic
-a bit much wear and tear on that boomstick
-the flashhider holes are upsidedown and should point upwards, instead of downwards like its on your model
-the whole receiver and buttstock look a bit squashed, they should be broader
Could you show us some wire frames?
Keep it up

Blank- thanks. I totally forgot the shell ejection port…oops. yeah, it was pretty gray due to the lighting. I haven't really decided on how I'm going to light this yet...
Rumkugel- granted, the buttstock is made of plastic, but I think the wear and tear makes for a better model/texture. That’s the beauty of what we do, we get to exaggerate:) The receiver and buttstock may look squashed due to the angle. This was modeled from photos, and I have one here at work. I’ve seen the flashinder holes both ways, but I added some more. I posted a wire for you.
Here are some updates...

Good job, any plans to model it with picatinny rails/addon modules and extendable buttstock or is this done and dusted now?

blank- thanks man. yeah, I'd like to make some add on's. For what it's going to be used for, addons really aren't necessary, but would be extremely cool:) I have the buttstock collapsed to save on polys. I probably do a version with it extended and all the extras:)

Good use of polys. My only crits would be that an AR's ejection port cover is flat. The area around the bolt (between the angled block and the handgard bezel) is slightly flatened and set at an angle. The forward assist is also a bit bigger if you're using the stock colt type m-4 and not an aftermarket :P
Bit of a gun nut. ;)
Great work on the texture too by the way. Although you might want to cut back on the amount of metallic scratches you have. Most buttstocks are polymer. :)
Looking forward to updates :)
