I'm trying to show off some of my first images in 3d :D. But I am having a strange problem.

Anyways, it is where you render out an image, and you go to save it, "Save As" and where you select the file type, you scroll down to jpeg. There is a button to the bottom right that says "Options" and I am positive that is where you go to set the options for jpeg. But it never becomes clickable. I don't know if it is a bug, or I'm doing something very wrong.

Any help would be REALLY REALLY GRATEFUL!

I would like to show off my new stuff to get some ideas of how I'm progressing, and participate in these forums more :bounce:

Anyways, thanks, and I hope I enjoy my time here.

BTW, this is my first post at cgtalk.com :airguitar

There are no settings for that in Maya.

Render out your image, save it - then recompress it in another program such as Photoshop, Adobe Elements or many of the free programs out there to facilitate that.

Good luck!

AW_JPEG_Q_FACTOR = 100;

to your Maya.env file found at:

Well, that's where it is on my computer anyway!

Thanks Jozvex.... saved me big time

I always save uncompressed .bmp's to my pictures folder (for desktop and storage use) and then scale down and compress with PS for putting on the web.
