Hey everyone

My friend and I are working on a storyline for a pretty unique comic.
It is set in the World of Reath, which is an original setting that involves many interesting concepts and creatures.
(We really wanted to make everything as imaginative and original as possible, so for instance we completely changed the way the creatures of the world breed and receive nourishment)

We have 3 races that live in a complex and interesting relationship with each other; They are hostile to each other and yet can\'t live one without the other. Also there is a fourth and hidden race that secretly controls the other races in a pretty eerie fashion.

I will not reveal more details here, as we would like the story to be told through the comic, but we are interested in recruiting one more person to work with us on the comic.

My friend is a great programmer and story-teller, and I create 3d models.
What we need is a 2d artist who can create concept art for the main characters, which I will use to make 3d versions of the characters. This way we will save time by being able to render the characters from different angles and in different poses quickly.
Also, that artist and myself will create all the other things (minor characters, props etc.) in 2d.

If you have the necessary skills then please contact me and I will tell you more about the setting.
My E-Mail/MSN is Tomsegal@gmail.com, and I can be also contacted via Notes or replies in this topic.

Do you need a rigger for your 3d characters? If so, feel free to drop me an email.

Webcomics are overrated. Fantasy webcomics are even more due to the amounts of Mary Sues and Marty Stus used as main chars. Before screwing it up here's some helpful links:

How NOT to do it: http://badwebcomics.blogspot.com/

How to do it right: http://webcomictriage.blogspot.com/

Also unless you want to get yourself some munies by selling crappy t-shirts and other merchandise, prepare for a LOT of annoying fanboy messages, rants, and asslicking. If I were you I wouldn't create any forums to start with.

Resuming, this is a risky endeavour and you better prepare for a lot of headaches and worst. Unless you have a very open schedule and lots of free time to spend on the comic, everyone will be bitchin' about your update rate if you dont keep it regular. Make sure you know what you're getting into before its too late.

Bring in sight, sound, a little animation and movement.

Camera panning animation. Paralax animation. Hair and eye animation. Tweens. Inbetween motion fade ins and you have a whole new beast!

It takes it to the next level! www.afterworld.tv (http://www.afterworld.tv) and www.brokensaints.com (http://www.brokensaints.com) are great examples
