hi again,

im very new to the 3dsm renderer.
here is what i got:

http://www.wapod.com/~grumble/misc/render.jpg

but the smooth shadows are a little unregular and also the reflection in the ground has aliasing artifacts.

which settings would i have to modify if i want to improve the quality a lot?

thanks!

Check the manual for shadow maps, and supersampling, those are the 2 problems you are encountering.:D

select light > shadow map params 'rollout'> mess with "bais" and "sample range"

thanks a lot, that worked! :)

another thing: since the ground is reflective the lower side of the ship shouldnt be all black, shouldnt it? where can i set that?
