Hi and thanks in advance,
can anyone tell me the correct settings for render fur as volume (fur shader) in maya 2008 64 bit? I have a problem because when I lunch render fur disappear (completely transparent).
my settings:
volume (fur shader) in fur render settings;
rapid fur preset with:
visibility samples set at 6 (rasterizer quality)
shading quality at 1 (rasterizer quality)
raytracing with production quality (to high??)
shadows as segments
I have only one spot light wiht raytracing shadows (can I use mentla ray shadow with volume metod?)
Auto volume in features set to Off
Please help me!

hi
When you choose the presset Production:rapid Fur don't forget to check Raytracing in Secondary Effects or the fur don't render!
