I really like it!
But whats happened to the left eye?
I think u should add some highlights to the picture! Without them it looks a bit bland
Nicely done caricature. I think you could work the hair a bit more, but other than that it looks super!
Anyone ever tell you that you look like Burt Reynolds? :D

Burt Reynols?
actually I'm 24, so it's not a good caricature in terms of realism.
but I think I could do some hilights, to improve it, as it was sugested.
thaks alot, for the replays.

lol, when i first saw that expression on your charicature face, i thought: man, he sure knows how to frown.
Wonderfully exagurated on some points, though i haven't seen the original (i do hope that's not the real you :p ).
The hair could still use some work, and the space between the right eye and the eyebrow. No real comments here though.
Lookin' forward to see the shaved version :D
cheers

hey, 9thlegion,
the first versions was the same, but with now hilights.
ppl sayd it needed hilights, so I whent for it.
do I know how to frown? I ywah! with both eyebrows! lucky me!
the left eye had the eyebrow so over it, that it covers the space. you see, the foto was taken from a little above.
still it's bad represented.
well,
thaks for comments!

Hi Kazuya Mochu,
Great work :)
I have to agree with Kirt on the hair. Specially around the edges, looks a bit too massive.
Maybe this might help you a bit:

Wow what a great drawing... i think this looks fantastic, though i liked your original attempt in the other thread as well... As the others said, reflection in your glasses is cool ;)

oh, yeah, my bad. I use photoshop, and obviouslly a wacom.
most of the time, I pic colors from the reference picture, and make a plalete stripe out of it, then I just keep painting out the colors.
more work.... theres the pirate thread... and the portrait I did
Girl Portrait (http://www.truedimensions.net/marcovale/public_img/portrait3.jpg)
this one didn't use reference. you can go and see older stuf on that folder. some is really old.
thanks for the motivating critics.

I don't think the hair is a problem. It fits the style of the face in this case!
Nice charicature!

both of em are fabulous ...  ... the hair doesn't bother me, especially since the forehead is simplified ...

thanks neil, apreciate it!
I also think that realistic hair would fit very well. still I've tried jerontje's tut, and it kind of work for realistic shaded charicatures.
pigwater - thanks. simplified, yes, I was going for a shading based on big areas of color, and small trasitions bettwen them.
I hop I have time to work on it.
thanks again,
