View Full Version : 3dsmax Blend problems with UVW mapping
slavakr 02-29-2008, 07:06 PM I put blender material on, i have material 1, 2 and a mask, but if i put uvw mapping on, and put the material 1 to the normal size, then the mask is moveing with it too. How can i make it that the mask is staying the same size, and i resize only the material 1 (background of the material).
Sorry for my bad english :(

It is hard to say much going by your description. I would just say that if you are resizing the maps within the material and they are 2d maps, you could put each map in a seperate channel and add a uvw map modifier for each of those channels. So if the mask is in channel 3 and the textures are in channel 1 and/or 2. YOu could use the gizmo or uv spinners to manipulate each of the maps seperately. Remember you will need a uvw map modifier for each channel you have. So you will have as many as 3 uvw mods for that one blend material.
