View Full Version : Archer of the Ram people WIP
InfiniteMadness 05-04-2003, 02:36 PM Hey there, first post. Some crits would be nice
Also, do any of you think I should make the legs a seperate piece of geometry? Would it make animation easier. Or would it be more impressive as one solid mesh that can animate nicely.
Thanks

Hey welcome to the boards
From first glance you mesh has way too many polys to start, the initial shape that you have could be created with half of what you are currently working with.
For animation, well it depends on the engine and the game designer. For now I would just concentrate on using less poly's and making it one solid mesh. Just remember to put cuts in the places where your model will bend to avoid pinching.
All in all practice makes perfect, there are some very talented people in this part of the forum that could and will proably guide you as you progess and develop.
Cheers and good luck

Thanks for the feedback Kid Mesh, I really do appreciate it. I managed to rid him of some polys and now as a whole, the model is 1780 polys. What is common for todays games? 3K and below?
Take a look. I'd like more feedback on the mesh before I begin texturing.
