ok i liked the cave troll alot in lotr was a little disapointed in the balrog it was supposed to be the scariest but i thought the cave troll was better .
up to this point i have been working on my anotmy and modeling skills ,I feel comfortable modeling what i see but am tired of doing boring practice models and hearing only anotmy critcs so i wanted to do my first rel try ant creating a cool and fun character this is 3 hours into yes im slow but i changed things a few times it will problay take me 3 more days to finish the modeling there alot of things i need to do after geting the form of the body down it will be detail time my favorite

For now your cave trol looks good, I need to see the full body to talk about proportions with you, but you could start with the for head and eyes, for now he looks too clever ;) move the eyes a little more to the sides, and change shape, like work a little bit on orbits (look carefuly at Matt's work, he is the guy who knows what facial modelling is )

agreed!!, looks good so far, but the cave troll wasn't a very handsome creature ;) this one looks very gentleman like for some reason :)
but my u're a busy boy aren't ya ;)

Nice looking dude....But i must confess i like Tolkien's trolls better.

what they said . . .
and in my opinion, the cheekbones are too defined. make them softer. have another look at the shoulder muscles, since there seem to be some weird things going on there.
After your done modeling, make the face slighlty less symertric, that'll make it more believable. tweak the shape of one eye slightly for instance. change the position a little.
I hope this info is of some use to ya.
