View Full Version : 3Ders Transcend Geekdom
VestanPance 05-04-2003, 04:37 AM Can't help but notice that every Saturday the forum empties. Looks to me that 3Ders have moved beyond the stigma[computer=geek]
Good for y'all. Of course...I have to sit and whitness all of this while watching over 3 kids and a wife that.....well let's not go into that. I used to be cool too. Kids...wear condoms..trust me.
Better yet...I think it is only the C4Ders that get to be cool. Yeah...that's it...that's the ticket! Here's to Kick A$$ C4Ders that never quit!!!!
OK...time to change a diaper :xtreme:

so is friday for that matter but by sunday the post count picks up again.
yeah its true we C4Der's just must score more than the Lwer's and Maya geeks who are posting up a storm right now.
of course that doesnt make me look any better posting on a saturday night.

True. But my point was not that people who use computers are geeks. But there is something to be said about those that use computers and don't go out on a saturday night ;)

He, me too. Let's start an exiting Geek forum where we can discuss startreck VS starwars in detail on Friday and Saterday nights only...!
That would be the most exciting thing ever...
Than I can also move into the bathroom along with my fridge, computer and television set, so I never have to get up again.
Aaaah, bliss... :p
BTW how much for those automatic buttcleansing devices? (so I never have to take a break from typing except for flushing)

Well Kiri, I'm sure someone could easily fashion a key command on your keyboard for the flushing thing...
Got a wife and kid too. Now that its springtime with lots of fun stuff to do, I am trying to reaquaint myself with real sunlight and dust free air. Its working out OK and I havent shrivelled up yet.
My daughter insists on tossing this spherical object at me and isnt satisfied unless I continuously throw it back at her. We were doing this while standing on this soft green turf-like surface. I haven't yet determined what the material recipe is, or whether or not SLA was used--could be actual geometry of the S&H variety.
Also, with major geek events like "Matrix" coming soon, I am determined to find a babysitter for that Friday night, 2 weeks in advance. Thats another sucky thing about parenthood. Cool movies come out and all you can do is watch the quicktime trailer again, and again, and again, until your wife lets you leave the house for the night (only to face a guilt trip upon return) or ya gotta call the inlaws and hope they're up for watching the kids that night.
I also re-discovered my old beatup bass guitar thats been sitting in my basement collecting dust. I decided I'm gonna buy a new one and re-form the band! Gotta phone the local nursing home to see how the old gangs doing--hope they can still play...
So whats a few gray hairs and a slightly receeding hairline. I'm still cool god-damn it! (as I move the barbie doll off my keyboard)
Hahahahhaa :D ...Barbie doll off the keyboard
I got the receding hairline as well Joel :scream:,I am 35,minus kids and wife, so far :) The reason I end up on the board sometimes on Saturday nights is because of a medical condition.
Sorry Vestan I have a bad habit of not completely reading posts sometimes...
Around what age do you guys think the "cool" starts escaping you as you get older???

Well, I'm 38 so I "feel" cool and hip still. But only because I hang out at these forums which are the absolute "shiznit"!

I don't know what he's talking about, either, but I don't like the sound of it.
