This is the first time I've worked with MAYA. been working on this model for the last 3 months as a final project for my uni degree at Wellington Design School New Zealand. Ive been learning 3D for about 6 months and some good old crits are welcome. so what needs improving?

Looks great! THe frizz of white hair on the left somehow doesn't look right....like it's not attached to the rest of the hair or the head at the top:hmm:

The hair frizz looks better in the bottom left pic, but I still think my previous comment stands, but maybe I'm just crazy..:p

Nice.
I think that you should blend the white hair into the other hair very slightly so that it looks real.
Heh it kinda looks like a crazy guy that thinks the government is after him.
Nice job:thumbsup:

Since we're all talking about the hair, I thought it might be cool and even fitting of this guys character to have maybe some hair come out of his ears? Just a suggestion. Looks good so far.

let me crit on some of ur work now.

his ear does not look like an ear. did you use reference to do the ear? gap between his eye seems too big compared to size of his eye. should fit about one.

bumps on the face needs lots of work, same goes for textures.

this work is over two years old, I haven't posted anything since they took away the ability to post your work without a web sight. if you have somewhere were I can post free pics let me know.
