Hello!

I have created a run cycle in maya by using the pose to pose method.

The animation loops without any problems. However, I have a problem when i try to tweak/smooth various frames in the graph editor for the characters feet.

As the characters feet in some of the inbetween postions have either moved to far forward or behind where they were originaly postioned. Making whole pose look wrong.

Can I fix this problem by adding in extra key frames in Translate-Z of the charcters feet, and putting curves in?

Or should the Translate -Z of the characters feet have no curves in the graph editor atall?

Or should the character just have straight lines (for his feet in the trans-Z)
whenever his feet are planted on the floor (to stop him looking as if hes sliding on ice.)
And diagonal lines for the time his feet are moving forward through the air?

I hope this makes sense. Thanks in advance for any tips/advice!

Much appreciated!
