This image was made in Painter 3 some time ago. It was an illustration for a novel I was/am writing. There were a series of 6 images depicting a fractal universe in cyber space. It used Painters resolution independent paint features heavily and it featured in a 12 page tutorial I wrote up for issue 4 of Design Graphics.

It's all hand painted - there are no photographic or texture generation elements in it. The image set at the bottom show the 6 images that depict a million to 1 zoom in on the fractal. The individual images were produced at a size suitable for printing at 1m x 1m -- huge!

Many of the techniques I used to paint this are still only possible in Painter. Later versions of Painter even had a few features enhanced because of my requests -- notably the Glass Distortion effect

... anyway, I am interested to see what people think ??
