Hey,
the detail on his right hand is amazing, but here are the issues in my opinion. He almost doesn't have a neck, as if his head sits right between his two shoulders. And there's something off about his right arm , but then again I'm not the one to pontificate about that ^_^. Other than that, nothing strikes me as odd. =)

I can't exactly figure out what his legs are gonna be doing at this stage. I assume they will be crossed? I like the eyes now that you fixed em up. And the detail on the hand is amazing!! Maybe you could add some more shadow to his face? It doesn't seem very contrasting at the moment.

Unless he's dancing some really weird jig, you need to intimate the support structures causing the foreshortening and compression issues. His right arm looks too short, because there is nothing for the viewer's eye to gauge depth with, such as a horizon line, or camera angle perspective. It's just this guy who looks kinda squished up (next time, tell your model to sit up straight, not slouch), with his elbow out and his opposite knee raised...Paint a stage with a mountain band behind him, maybe a straw hat on his head, and he's good to go!
It's hard to give you accurate feedback when there is not enough visual information to make suggestions on. The cigarette and hand look good, but if your anatomy is off, you won't know for a long time, if you spend your efforts working on the little things. Finish off the basic composition before working on details.

Great feedback guys, it is MUCH appreciated and the Straw hat suggestion brang a smile to my face. Before any one of you commenting I went ahead and did some straightening up ESPECIALLY to the face and after 2 hours I am pretty happy with it. Tell me what you think:

So as you can see, I think pretty much the head shrunk into proportion as I did shrink the ear and defined the right side of the face more. The right eye was moved up an inch to match the anatomy, the nose was rounded a bit more and the mouth had been slanted to give almost a smirky look. I don't think im going to focuse too much on the hair right now, It looks alright to me but now it's time to start working on the left hand.
Once again thanks for all the feedback, you guys don't know how much your really help at times, especially when someone new emerges and needs a helping hand. Thanks.

Before I make this official I would like to get some feedback as to what I should do with the background?

Some guy guy thought I cut and pasted the watch so I had to show him a close up of the level of detail.

I recently submitted my finished painting to the Gallery and it was denied in accordance with "Does not meet quality standards." ...... WHAT?
If I could get a response back from the community, which seems like it's pulling and arm and a leg, then I would like to know WHAT I have to do to get this accepted?
Is it the background? It shouldn't be because I have seen peoples gallery submissions that have just had a plain white background. Do they think I just went over the photo? Screw that compare the reference and my painting side by side, I guarantee nothing is exact and my brush stroked prove it!
WTF?
