I think the general shape is still that of a hypernurbed cube - hard to get rid of that when boxmodeling (one of the reasons I donīt like the method). Well, that aside: the nostrils need some work - pretty sharp angel there - and the ears, as you pointed out. (But who likes modeling ears?) The shape of the eyes look a little strange, but itīs hard to tell from the pic. If possible, Iīd like to see a different angel and no hat shot.

Enough said, itīs really pretty cool for one days work!

Thanks Pit
Yes, i think u're right... the general shape is still that of a hypernurbed cube...
The strengt of the method is the speed, it took me about 3 hours of work, than lighting and texturing.
I found the methood good anyway....

Oh no - no- I do not doubt boxmodeling at all - a lot of artists obtain the most incredible results with it -just does not suit me and my way of modeling. Old school, I guess!

Cheers

damn...thats painful...
i got a crit...ya make the rest of us look s**t...apart from that nice work...
mesh looks very good.

i think i'm with pit on poly by poly...seems slow..but i enjoy it...more...maybe i should just try harder in future...and get my head around box.

nice work over all! Ears: you said it allready!

Maybe linking in discussion on the boxNurbedMethod!
Why do you think it is slower? I think with some Tools(Plugs) to help you it is nearly the same time you need! Practise makes the speed! The more i model Chars the faster i get.

Nice start! Fast too!

My big problem is the hat. It just does not convince me and it detracts from the model itselft. can we see this without the hat?

Keep up the great work!
