nice bud, I'm liking where you're going with this, it can lend to be a very dramatic entry, is there going to be a body?

things to note

- strecthing on the neck and cheek maps
- the spec makes him look like plastic, play with that some more
- the eye maps need work, especially the iris, it's not catching the light the way it should, look into this tut http://www.3dluvr.com/content/artz/3dsmax/std/eyes1.php

but that's a great job for a start, keep posting

cheers

Hey Lil D
About the eyes. These are only temporary. I intend to make the eyes as in that tut... i actually thought of that from the beginning.
About the spec map. I will work on it some more 'cause people seem to not wanting him sweating.

Thanks for the comment! :)

I was hoping on not coming to a point where i'd have to bump my own thread...
But... because of the lack of comments i think i will bump it once...
I usually dont do bumping so much...

I have several lights... in these two pictures i have 4 and in the render i showed you first i have 5 lights. An additional spotlight.
I have different colors and different multipliers. I have two backlights from back right and back left, one is light blue and one is yellowish... i dont know what more to tell you...

Heya Manfred,

Its me, Fabio (from the mIRC channel), and I have to tell you this: the model isnt all that interesting (maybe because I dont like freaky heads) but the texture is awesome. You've been busy, uh? This is not the first time I see you showing this picture...

O.k. dude here is the problem.

DO as I say!
1) Cover the model with your hand from the nose down!
2) what do u see? cause I see the face of a poor, man which means that his jaw is far too strong for the look of his face

My advice is:

1) you have to make the chin more proemintent to give him personality
2) when and IF u do the chin bring the jaw out with it, it's like 'dug' into the skull.
3) LilD is right bout the spec map, it makes him look like plastic. Take it out!
4) Yes, eyes are one of the most expressive things at a char. so PLS/ do some eyes which are made out of different parts!

Other then alll of this GREAT!:wavey:

I don't know, I kind of like the chin/jaw/cheek area.
:)
He does look plastic, but if you were trying to make him look wet, or slimy, you could try raising the glossiness. But yeah, I think the spec map could use some work.
Good job, though. This character has a lot of...um...character.:D

really nice stuff!

This is a pretty awesome model. It really could go so many diferent ways... could be an old man, a starving person, an ET. Lots of potential.

I think the textures look sweet. It reminds me of car leather that has a fresh coat of Armor-All on it. It works with the model 'cause both are kinda one-off from reality yet not way out there.

:applause:
