bigbossfr 02-27-2008, 03:56 PM Hello,
I have a problème : i render exr file with ctrl_buffer and when i load images with Fusion, i have a good alpha (good alpha with transparents).
The problem : when i load the exr file with After effect or photoshop, i haven't alpha.
I use Proexr, it doesn't work anymore.
How can i resolve this problem ?
Thanks.

hi
go here http://savannah.nongnu.org/download/openexr/OpenEXR_Photoshop-1.2.1.Win.zip
and download the appropriate plugins for photoshop
* in photoshop just Ctrl clik the layer to make selection, than go to Channels palette and hit the button save selection as channel to create alpha channel.
* in after effect make sure your project is set to 32 bpc.

Do you have transparent alpha ?
Yes, yes and yes
but you have to download the plugin first!
here is the trick when you open an exr.format in to photoshop you have to go down to the File Type (Fichiers de type) and choose the appropriate extention OpenEXR (*.EXR,*.EXR) or OpenEXR (*.EXR) rather than the default extention All format

It isn't work, your alpha is black or white.
You haven't alpha "transparent", with gray.

hi
try render with Verbosity level 5 or 6 and look in output window , if there are no errors generated than you have to revise your setup maybe somethings wrong there!
- are your camera renderable?
if you are outputing RGBA [float] 4X32 Bit or RGBA [Half] 4X16 Bit don't forget to chek Pass custom Alpha Channel.
By the way what you see in the render view is the RGBA 4x8 Bit, and if you want to see the [float] 4X32 Bit or RGBA [Half] 4X16 Bit go to your project/images/tmp and use imf_disp.exe utility or any other packages like Nuke or PhotoshopCS to display theses formats!

I have no error with p_megaTk_pass; but it is black.
With buffer_write, it is black and the computers crash ramdomly.
The error is :
ctrl_buffers.........................
And now is crash.
