Done in Cinema 4d 7. Completely textured using SLA and bhodinut procedurals.
First attempt at modelling a head. I initially wanted to make Lara croft, but after 5 minutes the mesh was allready destined to be an Alien...:p

Feedback greatly appreciated!

Actually, it does look like Lara Croft!:) No, it's really neat looking. Haven't seen anything quite like it before. A really nice technique. Kinda looks like a scientific diagram with the x-ray effect. Good job.

The BLue/Green effect was very easy to accomplish, I used Cheen with transparency for it :) , played around with the gradient a little, with the bumpsize, also no lights in the scene except the default light. You can get a electronmicroscopic effect with cheen and transparency, great for making cells and stuff :wise: and x-ray views of skeletens.

Cool effect / model !

The only comment I can give you is that it's right eye on the second pic is looking the wrong way. It shouldn't look towards the camera but in the same way as the other eye.

Lara Croft after two million years of evolution ;)

Cool concept though, he looks like on of those cave creatures that have evolved to have no pigment or skin-color. Usually they don't even have eyes anymore but long tentacles to gather food.

What made you think it was a He??
No he is still a He :) , that is a good idea though, making a female species.... might be very interesting to do. I think I'll do the rest of the body next, I got some pretty cool ideas how to make his underlying muscle structure, I always liked Biology so it might turn out pretty interesting. :airguitar
The X-ray thingy was more or less a lame excuse not to use a Skin texure, I don't know how to do it (still learning) and I thought it would be cooler to make it transparent like. There are allready tons of aliens out there so it wouldn't be special enought to post.

Keep ya updated and thanks for the comments :bounce: I always like the comments.....
