hi,

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CKHsvVM4oEg

this is what ive done in pcloud using bubble motion i now want to imitate it in particle flow so i can send it to targets over time and have it form shapes etc. but so that each time it comes back to its original state it will boil/bubble/wobble as you can see in the movie. assumeed there would be a bubble in the pflow depot i assumed wrong!

thanks in advance!

Your best bet would be to use a speed by icon then and animate the icon on a path that is wobbly.

there is a script u can use as a script operator that moves pflow just like legacy particles by linking it to a legacy particle system.

on ChannelsUsed pCont do
(
pcont.usePosition = true
pcont.useInteger = true
)

on Init pCont do
(
)

on Proceed pCont do
(

pcount = particlecount psys
for i in 1 to pcount do
(
if try((particleAge psys i) >= 0)catch(false) do
(
pcont.particleID = i
pcont.particlePosition = particlePos psys i
pcont.particleInteger = pcont.particleAge
)
)
)

on Release pCont do ()

thanks for that I really appreciate it. But I've never used script operator??! (not sure why) could you give me a quick walk through to show how i would implimnet this in to a particle flow, or maybe throw it in to A MAX 9 SCENE SO I CAN TAKE A LOOK?

thanks,

forgive my ignorance but that scene aint this :http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CKHsvVM4oEgto me your scene contains a superspray with some bubble motion and a pflow that emits one low poly sphere which remains static?

am I missing something?

u have to change the settings inside of the superspray of cause :)
didnt watch your video to be honest...just uploaded the scene...

use a PCloud for the motion. read the help for bubble motion settings. maybe one of the presets will do the job fine already. then change the script so it points to the new pcloud or spray or what ever.

aah okay!! so that script takes the information from the pcloud and applies it to the pflow

that makes sense!
