View Full Version : Zergling
waynebebay 02-26-2008, 12:58 PM Hey all, I am new to these forums. Although I browse them all the time I finally signed up and in some lengthy efforts have started to paint digitally with naivity. This picture I started has taken me about three hours so far and basically I would like to be pointed in the right direction. Is there any advice anyone can offer? I am pretty new to Digital Painting and am a fast learner. I would greatly appreciate any advice or constructive criticism. Thank you!

Hi!
You look to be on the right track, blocked in shapes and color, shadows, and now detailing.
Your speed will improve the more you do it.
Keep going, this looks good!

The face really doesnt look much "zerglingesk". Zergling heads are somewhat similar to dogs, with long nosesand jaws filled with teeth. Still, keep it up. you're doing a fine work in more general therms.

I am battling with zergling physiology and anatomy, I must admit. And I did think about using a dog as a reference as they are similar in many ways. I do realize that their face isn't so round so looks like I have some work to do. ;)
