View Full Version : baking occlusion with mental ray/turtle 4.1?
jaydru 02-26-2008, 01:51 PM im trying to bake ambient occlusion to a texture but my mental ray results look realy crapy and faceted, i read that turtle is supposed to be good for this but i just cant get it to work either, if anynoe could give me a little help on getting a decent result i would be grateful

About 3 pages that way ---> was a thread last week to do with dirt generating or something and in it one of the guys put up these links:

Is pretty useful as it sets up everything for you and gives you easy control of the settings.
Crazy bump can also give quick results plus your spec and normal maps too http://www.crazybump.com/
