I have a budget of £350/£400 and a desired print size of A3 and i would like a printer that has a (CISS) or "contiunual ink supply system" instead of buying cartriodges , im not sure if all printers have that but my googling efforts have revealed that alot of money can be saved by getting CISS.

possible candidates so far:

HP Photosmart Pro B9180

Epson R2400

Canon Pixma Pro 9000

feel free to suggest any others !

I have the HP B9180,
don't know what CISS means, but it's superb printer!
It comes with 8 cartridges, photoquality is fantastic, on HP glossy paper.
But be aware when printing on highest quality the cartridges don't last long!
Fortunatky the normal quality setting are great as well.I hardly use the highest settings, even for final presentations to clients as differences are minimal, but the lifetime of the cartridges is much, much higher.
What I don't like so much about it is the paper tray, it's a bit clumsy. Annoying also how to change from A4 to A3. the best is to take off the upper tray. set paper size and put the tray back. The Epson system is better, as you put the paper from the back.

hi lukas, i am still looking through google and so far it does look like i will be going for the B9180. As far as i understand CISS means you dont have to keep buying new cartridges.

these are refillings...but not from HP!
so I would be very careful!

Only the give the brilliant results, I guess
