Anyone else getting sound drop-outs?
Picture seems fine-but I lose most of the sound (but not all of it).

Edit:Actually every chapter starts off ok-and then drops out after a certain time.

same here - regarding sound ...

Try with IE. I got an audio drop out with firefox but others have had no issues with ff.

Working OK here in IE 6, 7, and Slimbrowser (ie variant). We will try to re compress and see if that makes a difference.

Thanks

Ok all set now guys. Re compressed, uploaded, tested, and working in all browsers. You may need to clear your cache if you got dropouts before.

Thanks a bunch and enjoy!

haven´t tried any of the cebas products, but it seems very impressive, plus the integration with final render looks awesome!

Pardon my ignorance but which cache to you mean?
(Windows has lots of stuff with cache in the name)

re-downloaded the codec too (nada).

i don't know why but I'm not a fan of the quality from Pyro. I like the way Afterburn looks much better, it has a softer quality to it. I'm not really sure why but pyro doesn't seem all that realistic to me.

circusboy, I'm talking about IE or FF cache. You will need to clear it out if you want to DL the new video. It is all flash.

Apoclypse, If your judging from the demo, please dont. The demo is to show a balance of speed/quality and of course to make it interesting. These scenes are tuned to look pretty good but surely not production quality (also there is much compression of course). We like to do realtime rendered demos and 7 secs for a full volumetric cloud at that quality is pretty impressive I think.

For film or broadcast productions which Pyrocluster has been used over and over for, you might need more then 7 seconds. Pyrocluster is very capable of super smooth, and clean results with very fast rendertimes. You can actually see a better rendering of that first volcano on the product page as well as many other very nice images rendered with Pyrocluster here:
http://www.cebas.com/products/products.php?UD=10-7888-33-788&PID=47

If your comment was based on the fact that you used both AB and Pyrocluster, and just like AB better then that is cool too. AB is also a good volumetric renderer :D

Thanks a bunch

I'd vote for that. Does being a FR for Maya owner count as double? =)

I vote for XSI.
Since it already works with Mental Ray it shouldn't be too hard.
Would be cool since Softimage is coming out with a new particle system soon...

Looks very complete. I'm impressed.

We should get a proper vote going :) - I used this in demo form back at Uni when I was using Max, and was gobsmacked at the viewport spehere preview - so helpful... and the results are excellent!
