View Full Version : No colour on backside decal with l_glass
matadatan 02-25-2008, 07:12 PM I can't understand how I should do to achive a coloured back side of my label. I have mapped a coloured tif-file on "diffuse" and a b/w tif-file on "opacity" to a l_glass v.2 shader at the outside of the bottle. The rest are also l_glass but without textures.
If you look at the image http://www.nysnyl.com/problem.jpg you might understand what I mean.
Thankful for tips,
Hans Olo

Hmm...
A Layered shader? I don't think you need to do a flipped normal sampler to keep the correct color, but keep that in mind.
I don't want to hijack the thread, but I have similar issues, plus one really weird one:

Parts of glass are tottaly black, but same image rendered again can look fine.
Any ideas?
Which version of lglass are you using?
Thanks

It is a l_glass version 2 Beta. No layered shader.
What is a "sampler"? I have folowed a tutorial for a bottle rendering and I think I have the normals correct.
If I can't solve this with l_glass I may try a layered shader. Is it possible to map a dielectric shader in a layered shader?
