View Full Version : VRay Bloches in shadows

I am rendering an interior and having a heck of a time with the my shadows being "blotchy"... just not smooth. What triggers this? I have tried increasing my HSph. subdivs., but it just takes longer and results are the same.

try to interpolate more samples or start rendering from a lower res walue like -4 (min res) also increasing the hsph subdivs on its own doesnt do anithing, its strongly bonded with the rqmc sampler. If you dont adjust its setting accordingly the amount of samples you will get on the wall above the tv wont increase. its a good idea to experiment with the rqmc sampler off (0 adaptivness) and setting the image sampler to fixed 1. this way aou can examine the "raw" gi data without the eefect of the sampler. this way you can tweak your gi settings and after determine what kind of image sampling you need
