Hi All,,
I didn't work with V-Ray before, but I need to use it for a particular project which includes interior scene. It is really slow rendering when using GI. It has to re-compute the light cache at each render.

So I wanted to combine global illumination with regular lights to basically fill the room with the light using GI and then finish the lightning with some spots and directional lights. But as I add these to my scene, V-Ray seems to ignore them. I have checked all the stuff in general switches (in v-ray render settings).

Can anyone help me with how to enable these lights in my renderings?

thanks in advance

As long as there are no objects moving in the scene, there is a way in Vray for it to calculate the GI once for the scene, and speed of frames.

Look in the Vray render panel, under Irradiance Map. There is a mode section, and its set to single frame by default. There are a few options there, so play around, but I think you need to do "from file" and give it a file name. That should help you.
