Title: Samurai Before The Battle
Name: Herman Silesky
Country: Costa Rica
Software:

his piece is about a samurai getting his spirit ready for the battle, all modeled in lightwave3D the old way (no zbrush or mudbox), just minor color tweaks in Photoshop.

Good work, the model of the armour it's great! But I don't like the lamp in the foreground, it seem too modern (my personal impression :)).

Thanks for your comment, I really appreciate it, about the lamp, I did some research before I made it and that kind of lamp is actually from that era.:)

Great work! The colors are wonderfull:thumbsup:
Only one thing: if I'm not wrong, samurai's armour was made mainly by bamboo, leather and wood, so I'm not sure about reflections on it.

Thankyou for your comment, In some cases they used to make them lacquered and in that way get a shiny finishing:)

very nice image
the only tiny tiny crit i would have is that the sword Tsuka (handle) could be less recantgular, and the end fitting should be more ornate and bound onto the Tsuka

pls see the jpgs att

Thanks a lot, well actually the tsuka has an ornament but because of the dof and resizing it may have been lost here is a detail:
