View Full Version : how do i maintain position of joints when adding a splineIK

what im tryin to do is add a splineIk to my rig, but my joints are snaping to accomidate the spine(aka auto simplify curve). When i click off auto simplify curve, i loose the attribute to set the sumber of spans which i want to be '2'.

im creating an ik/fk rig and this issue has been bothering me because my joints are strategically placed for best performance. I hope someone has an answer for me, or an explination of why this is impossible.

The joints are always trying to snap on the curve. You can make a CV spline that lie on the joints instead and make an ikSplineHandle with "AutoCreate Curve" disabled /you can use the custom CV spline for the ikSpline/
