Hi there...
Since my last "free time" job, that was LA HACIENDA (http://forums.cgsociety.org/showthread.php?f=121&t=144424&page=1&pp=15&highlight=hacienda) (almost 2 years ago), I was not able to get
some time to work on a personal image.
Surfing on the web, I found this great image from concept artist Peter Lee(http://www.peterconcept.com), imediately I pictured
it in 3d, I looked for Peter to ask for his permission to use the concept as guide for a more
elaborated cgi image. He gave me the ok and I started working right away, sending updates to
Peter, his input was really valuable.
I took me about 3 moths to finish the image, we had very few free time in the company, we're
having a lot of commercial work, also I changed the composition a couple of times too, hehe.
I used MAX for the 3d building, then I painted over the 3d model, I made a separate matte for the
enviroment, finally I comped both and refine the matte.
I hope you like it, please, feel fre to comment on it, but remember this is my firs matte, please
try not to be too harsh.
This is the mail that Peter sent me once I send him the final image, it was great for me to get
this reaction from him:
Wow,
Awesome work Dany,
Yeah, obiously it look different than what we have in game but, you added your taste into this
piece. It looks awesome!
cool man nice work!
