For some reason when I open a file in 3ds, I get a
"no pixel shader support - need a Geforce 3 or better"
error dialog followed by several
"failed to load pixel shader file DA.pso - check your paths dialog" dialogs.
I am Running WinXP Pro, 3ds Max 5.1 SP1 in Direct3D mode
Geforce 2 MX400....
sometime before, i never had this problem and then it just started happening.

Any solutions to that?

Also, on a different note. I am considering building a new rig for myself. I was curious about running a Radeon video card...I think i read sometime ago that there is a conflict with Radeon and 3ds.

Is this true?

I got the same problem and I have a quadro card. Are your running on DX8.1 of DX9? If your running on DX9 it's because your card dosen't support it.

beside me was such problem, appeared she after installing sp1

I have simply deleted sp1...

just copy all files from 3dsmax5\SP1Revert to 3dsmax5 root

or you could use this as an excuse to go buy a new video card, that's what i would do  :applause:
