It has been some time now since i last made a character. This time it is going to be a female witchdoctor. I havent made a exact concept yet. Still trying to nail it down.

Here is my guideline for the character. Might write a background story as well later on.

That's a cool idea. I wanna see where you're going to take it.

I have begun modeling on her. I have made a new body that is going to be ready for Zbrush. But I must change her face first. She will probably have a large mask covering the whole face but I am not sure yet. Maybe she must some face underneath. I have just tested to paint i Zb, to see if something would be terrible bad in the mesh, I think it works. Have a nice ground for my low poly later on...

The idea is to make her very skinny. A problem later is, what is she going to wear!? I guess it will be a blanket underneath and barebreasted. And a lot of amulets and stuff.
Oh well...

Didnt have that much time. But there is some items or stuff that she migth use or have with her. I am currently working on the Mask. I should also try to pose her more correct. At the moment she stand like a tip top teenage girl. But she will be more of a "hag". Not that old but very thin and a bad posture. Have to continue tomorrow, signing out!

I have made a new concept there I have posed my character and made a paint over. Not decided everything yet but I am getting there I think. I dont know if I am going to have a voodoo doll or a skull or what.

Any input?

I have continued modeling on my witchdoctor. I have gotten some new insperation from the notourious predator and are now giving my character a more of a hunter style.

Hey Sizzling,

I like the concept, that of a voodoo inspired warrior, but the proportions of your character make her seem really weak. Also, the inclusion of the mask, with the expressionless face, lend to a more subdued read when you look at her. You may be able to take care of some of this with textures, but I would really try to push some form of your character to seem more threatening, menacing, or powerful.

Just a thought.

Good luck.

thanks for your input and cheering! I have made the mask a bit more angry the expression part got better. But I am not sure if I want to change the proportions. Have to see how far Zbrush will take me. But I agree, if she should be a warrior she would probably be strong. Oh well, could be fun to be wrong.
