I know that ctrl is used for large deselecting but how can i do large selections? Or is there a way to turn off the way it unselects when you drag over something twice? This has been annoying me for a while.

CTRL will remove selected items

SHIFT will make a selection and remove items already selected

CTRL + SHIFT will add to a selection but not remove from it.
