Preety impressive dude ,especially for the subway scene (great way to sqweeze such a huge scene at less polygons than an average Gears of War character !) ,looks like you like Crysis too ha ?

haha yea i had to throw that in there thanks i tried to limit everything down to what was necessary...leaving alot of it up to the bump really

I just noticed that you bevel alot ,bevels are generaly poly-count killers and I suggest only putting them on meshes that need them ,also on the subway scene if you'll look to the right you'll see the grey box mesh ,I can see that you beveled it from a mile away which means that the bevel only defects its quality and further complicates the UV mapping proccess ,I reccommend you to try to make more polished bevels that aren't just excuses for getting closer to your wanted poly-count ,sometimes even a cube is an awesome shape if textured currectly too ! remmember less is better !

I didn't realize that there was a subway on the background of your subway pic... I think you need to think more about what kind of materials and colours you use, it's all very grey. Also, you could add lights to those arches. You have these rectangular holes in them, why not put some lights in there? You could take out the lights on the plattform if you wanted to then. It also looks as if the texture on the side of the advertisment thing (on the left side) is squashed and the texture on the side of the plattform is skewed. Keep it up though, this could be quite cool with a bit more work.

Are you working from any reference for the subway scene? It might be useful to research some images on flickr (http://www.flickr.com/search/?q=subway) for examples of lighting and even colour pallets to get away from that 'grey' look as urgaffel stated.

thanks guys much appriciated. i didnt really used one particular picture for reference. i used a few different sources. i went to italy and germany over the summer and used alot of pics that i took while i was there. i really like the idea of adding the lighting to the arches instead of having them on the ground. thanks again for the pointers and yes in the subway scene i did kinda go overboard with the bevels haha maybe i should work on that
