View Full Version : Vehicle/Enviroment: Audi RS4 in Italy
chronus377 05-03-2003, 12:58 AM Hey everyone, I just finished my Final for Shading and Lighting. I'm real happy with the results. The car was modeled in NURBS, and the enviroment is 95% poly's. No raytracing was used, and everything was done in maya.
Tell me what you think.

looks like verything's texture,no modeling.......the windshield for example...you should work on that!!!and there's somethin really strange about the gold light coming from the door,it iluminates the car but it doesn't iluminate tre door

good job
the proportion of your rs4 looks a bit off, the height of the upper body and the lower body, especially the front wind sheild, seems a bit too long

I'm noticing some vertical lines in the render especially in the surface of the car..maybe they are from the shadow maps?

I noticed the shadow maps too. Should I increase the resolution for the Dmap size? Its already at around 2000, i think. I'll probably tweak some stuff now that I have time, like the rims are too dark, and a few other things you guys mentioned.
nek11man: you got a good eye. The image I uploaded was resized a bit in photoshop, I think I had something wrong with my camera's settings when I rendered and it seemed a bit streched vertically. Maybe I over corrected a little.
thanks for the comments.
