View Full Version : Misc : Good place to buy models
JeffPatton 05-03-2003, 12:20 AM Moderator: I'm not sure where to post this question, but since I use Max, I guess I will put it here. Forgive me if I'm wrong.
I'm looking to buy a model of a city scape. I saw two on turbosquid that may work, but I would like to have more to look at before I buy.
I suppose my question is this, are there any other sites like Turbo Squid that sell decent models? As I simply dont have time to make an entie city. :hmm:
Thanks in advance

He's probably talking about braking in to ILM's office building, hacking into the computers and copying their files. A pretty good idea actually. :D

Thanks for the responses. I looked into Marlin & Viewpoint. I wasnt impressed at all with the viewpoint models especially the price vs. quality of them (atleast in the little thumbnail pictures) I assume viewpoint & digimation models are the same? Marlin had a package of buildings and I may go with that. Thanks for the links on those Halo.
So now it's down to turbosquid and Marlin.
anymore ideas?

Do it yourself.
Go to maxplugins.de and look for the Greeble plugin, its one of the best free plugins Ive seen.

Supermax...THANKS a ton. I had completely forgot about them! I should be able to mix and match greebles with the detailed buildings I have bought and make the image I need. Thanks again.

Why don`t you try some custom modeling. Many artist are freelancers, so If someone does good models, why not to hire him ?
same thoughts here, go to the jobs board and ask if someone will work for you
