View Full Version : .mdl file not importing...

Hey guys...does anyone on this list have any experience with files not importing with AM? LOL! Seriously, I'm still using v8.5++(the last stable version), and I was working with a proj file the other day that included a model which I spent 2 hours modifying. I saved the model as a separate file, then rendered out a 200 frame .avi, but now when I fire up the project, the progress bar gets to 13% and just hangs! I've been looking at the mdl file, but can't figure out what could be wrong. Who could take a look at this for me?

1) have you tried opening the model file (.mdl) by itself?
2) If you're on a Mac, the next thing might be to trash the AM preferences file (couldn't tell you the equivalent for a PC)
3) brain just died- have to edit and add suggestion later!
4) the only other alternative is to post a .zip file on your website for someone to have a look at.

sorry about number 3!

yea that did it...deleting the preference file.
