View Full Version : blindDataType command: how define "Name" and "Association Type"

Hello everyone !

How can I define the "Name" and "Association type" at the creation of my Blind Data.
I can just define the "Id", "datatype" and "longname" & "shortname".

blindDataType -id 0 -dt "string" -ldn "EXEMPLE" -sdn "EXEMPLE";

-dt = dataType
-ldn = -longDataName
-sdn = shortDataName

At this time I've search for a command to add name and Assoc type but it's not in the "Help"
So If I open the blindDataEditor I just can see the Id's ... Not really intuitive!

PS: I'm on Maya 7

Complete Maya Programming II talks about Blind Data, not sure if thats what you need.
