View Full Version : Making texture independant of objects

Hi,

this is sort of hard to describe, and I've been trying to figure it out all day! Hopefully someone can help, as this seems rather simple:
I have modeled a castle with NURBS, and the walls are all different planes. I've texturing them with a nice procedural brick shader, but the problem is that the bricks have different sizes when rendered, depending on the size of the plane they're on. Obviously I'd like all bricks to be more or less the same size... but I just can't figure out how!

I know there's a way to do this, but what is the setting called? Oh, I guess this is not really platform specific, but if it helps: I'm using Maya here. The docs aren't helful to me though, because I'm not exactly sure what I'm looking for...
