how to add a character set?

select the bound mesh then goto create charater set option under character (make sure u r in animation mode) then name the character N go through the option N click create character set...In the outliner U can find ur new character set....Also for individual sets like arm legs etc u can select the coressponding joints and crete charater set and name them for e.g. left arm....right arm...
