Holland?
there's a Lost Boys in Holland too? Because I'm quite sure it's talking about the Lost Boys studio in Vancouver, as NFS2:HP2 was made by BlackBoxGames in Vancouver (I know a few people who worked on it) and published out of EA here as well.

Nice!!!

I have just one question, why was Harry Potter the only one singled out for a specific sequence? Why not the whole movie and creit the other companies like Mill Film, ILM, MIll Models, Cinesite and MPC?

Leonard

Because Framestore were the only ones who entered that particular sequence. ILM entered Star Wars Episode II, and MPC decided to go with the TV route.

Great :D

one idea though, could it be possible to release a special dvd with perhaps all the shortfilms and wallpaper sized screens of the still groups and perhaps trailers for the full release movies?

something that would act as a best of 2003 in 3d

Out of curiosity, how did the nomination process work? I'm especially curious about the student films, since there are so many schools in the world.

I'm curious as to why there is a category for "independant" animations when there are clearly independants in the nominee list for "best short"? What's the differentiation?

Seeing the nominees for architectural stuff, I wonder if there was serious (European)competition:

To name some...

Hayes Davidson (http://www.hayesdavidson.co.uk)
RNA Studios (http://www.rna.hr)
Infarq (http://www.infarq.com)
Archimation (http://www.archimation.com)
Stack Studios (http://www.stack-studios.com)

"Lost boys studios" and "lost boys", are two entirely different companies,
i dont believe they have any relation, except for the name.

Leonard
05-03-2003, 10:25 PM
Because they entered themselves in the Short Films category. It's up to the people entering whether they want to enter the short films category and go up against the studios, or stick in the Indie.

The problem is that the architects didn't catch whiff of the 3D Awards and by the time they did, they had missed the deadline for the entries.
