Hi all,

How opportune this thread, after a week of the International Year of Planet Earth launching!

My idea is that the Earth's core overheats and causes the explosion from inside. This may sound fantastic but it could happen, for instance, when the Sun expands and swallows the Earth on its way.

I'll do my best but I'm sure I will enjoy the fine work of many artists in this forum.

Hello:

This is the sequence of Earth disintegration in this project:

1. As a result of the incoming explosion in Earth's core, the cryosphere melts, resulting in a 70m rise of the sea level (image attached).

2. The heat is still raising, so the sea starts to evaporize, reducing the sea level to zero, and increasing the atmosphere density.

3. A global eruption starts, the full Earth is a volcan at the tectonic plate boundaries. The surface melts.

4. Once the Earth is a ball of fire it explodes. At this point, this is not different than other projects in this thread.

I hope to reach at least to 3 before deadline.

This is a preview of the ocean evaporation. Of course this is just the ocean layer, the atmosphere layer will be more difficult. It will be denser and turbulent.

Ah, as they use to say, "sorry for my English"!
