Not sure about posting links to things here at this board. Couldn't find a specific board for this kinda thing, so i hope i'm not violating any rules doing this. If i am, then the MODs here know what to do with this thread. ;)

I've been seeing/getting some requests for this kind of info lately, so i decided to just post a tute for it. Hope it's found useful by those looking for it. :bounce:

I don't like the outcome of that tutorial. The eye colour is far too fake, easy to spot a mile away. Otherwise the rest of it is ok.

Actually i was thnking the same hting and then I realized that the color at the end of the tutorial has not been made transparent or transfer moded yet. The image on the right at the top is the end result..right?

Yes, the header image contains the finished eye colour.

The eye colour is of course not 'real' persay... but it IS possible to have eyes that colour -- colour contacts. They're everywhere nowadays. I've even seen some that look like "The Hulk's" eyes. Not somethin *i* would wear but... they're out ther to be had.

And besides that, that's not really an issue with this subject matter. To keep it in perspective, this is a "beauty makeover". It can be taken as far or as subtle as one wishes. Have a look at some fashion/model/cosmetic magazine covers and photos. Extreme makeovers are quite common in photography.

As i see it, this is a 'fantasy' subject.
The techniques outlined in the tutorial do NOT have to be taken to the extreme. Tweak em down a tad and get more "main stream" looking results. There's nothing wrong with that. :wip:

PS: i just added a "full comparison" example image to the top of the tute's page. I've outlined issues and mods performed, and why.

As reference... checkout this lady's work: http://www.suzettetroche.com/main.htm ("portfolio" and "before & afters".)
