View Full Version : Per Particle sprite problems

I've got a pretty simple particle setup consisting of two emitters firing particles at a collision plane, and on collision it makes a sprite particle. I'm simulating an airplane firing at the ocean. Everything is working fine until I create the particle disk cache. It seems like none of my per particle expresssion work for the disk cache creation. I've got a random per particle sprite scale on X and Y and a sprite twist to match the tilt of the camera. Everything works when I play back with out the cache.

Hi,
Maybe you should get a look at the Maya documentation in MEL command section. You'll find the dynExport mel command which allow you to control what is exactly store in Particle Data Cache.

ex:
dynExport -mnf 1 -mxf 100 -atr position -atr spriteScaleXPP -atr spriteScaleYPP particleShape1;
