PolySew (http://www.m2estudios.com/plugins.html)

For Lightwave, they have PolySew for making inverse extrusions.
I'm not seeing anything like that for Maya.
What I want to do is a Boolean without haveing to go back and Fill Holes by selecting edges.
Is there a easy way in Maya?
Say you have a cube(6sides).
On to opposing sides you have a smaller poly centered in the middle of these two polys.
I want to tunnel made to each of these threw the middle of the cube, sort of a boolen but with the tunnel being filled with just the one hole.

Thanks for any help.

with the 2 opposing faces on the cube selected:

1: Extrude face. A manip appears. Do not translate or Rotate!

2: Use scale manip to scale it to size. If you do it right...the extruded faces will not break the planarity of the surface.

3. Delete the 2 faces you just extruded, you now have the tunnel...but still need to close the surface.

4. If you do not have the Bonus Games Scripts(get from AW website) which has a Connect Borders comand meant for this task...then use the append poly tool on the edges needed to close the surface. you will figure it out.

Also, experiment with the Hole tool and the Fill hole....this is used for projecting a polygon(and deletes) on to a polygonal surface similar to project curve on surface for nurbs.

Ok thanks...
Thats the way Ive been doing it.
Selecting the edges then fill hole.

I found this but its too old of a compile.
polyBridge (http://digilander.libero.it/t_reds/script.html)

I sent those guys a email so I will post something if they say they might complie for newer versions.
Check it out though.
Looks pretty cool.
They have another there called dragSelect.which seems to be a good tool also.
